Cove Youth FC

Yet again the cove under 14s showed great team work in the face of a hard game against Pinewood. The boys worked well and did not stop battling from start to finish. The first goal to fly into the net was from Tom Crook closely followed by a great goal from Elliot miles- Kirkham. In the second half the boys got off to a great start with Elliot finding the net again. Pinewood managed to pull a goal back and also unfortunatly let in an on goal. Elliot was on fire this week and finished his game with both a hat-trick and the much deserved man of the match trophy. Well done boys for a great game.

Another great result for Cove as they yet again played hard and fast to stay on top of the game. A fantastic goal by Aaron Richardson opened the score board. This was Aaron's thirded goal for Cove since he joined the Team this year. The home team managed to score before half time.

During the second half Reggie scored from a free kick straight on target and into the back of the net. Yet again the home team evened the score and it was a hard battle to keep the ball out, man of the match Michael Gibson saved the day with a fantastic save off the goal line and Cove finally sealed the win with another great goal by Aaron Richardson. Final score 3-2 to Cove.

8 Nov 09 - Cove United 7 Fleet Spurs 0 (League Cup)
Another Fantastic result for the Cove United Team. After a bit of a slow start Luke Burrows opened the score sheet with a fantastic header half way through the first half. The boys really found their feet in the second half with two great goals from both Ben Martin and Toms Crook. Conner Miles found the back of the net following a corner ball and Regan Hitch scored his first goal of the season from his free kick. Man of the Match went to Luke Burrows and the boys are through to the next round of the Cup. A great game from all the team well done Cove.

11 Oct 09 - AFC Hiltingbury 2 Cove United 3 (Hampshire Cup)
The very early start and wet conditions didn't put Cove off their stride on this county cup game. Despite going a goal down early into the game Cove were soon back on track with an opening goal from Josh Miles-Kirkham. Again the opposition took the lead but the Cove boys battled on to get a goal back by man of the match Andrew Gibson. As the game began to look like it was heading for extra time Luke Burrows took a long range shot seeing the ball hit the back of the net to settle for the win into the next round of the cup. Fantastic game with excellent sportsmanship from both teams and great hospitality from the home team.

20 Sep 09 - Cove United 5 Haslemere Town Harriers 1
A slow start saw Cove conceed an early goal but they were soon back on track with Tom Crook scoring 2 and Ben Martin, Josh Miles-Kirkaham and Calum Hart all scoring one each. MoM went to defender Jordon Burrows.

13 Sep 09 - Sarisbury Sparks 2 Cove United 11 (Hampshire Cup)
Another fantastic win from Cove under 14s to see them into the next round of the Hants Cup. Tom Crook opened the score sheet with 2 goals, followed by hat tricks from Josh Kirkham and Mark Horley, Luke Burrows and Kieran Griffith both scored one each and MoM went to Ben Martin.
Get well soon from all the team to Elliot Kirkham who broke his foot in the first game of the season.

6 Sep 09 - Curley Park Rangers Trojans 1 Cove United 7
Great start to the season by Cove United with Tom Clark starting the goal run in the first half. Man of the Match Calum Hart scored two goals followed by two goals from Ben Martin and a goal each by Luke Burrows and Kieren Griffiths.
